Fit guide

Perfectly in frame

Finding the right frame size for your face is easy. Look at your favorite frames – somewhere on the inside of the temple, three numbers should be inscribed: lens diameter, bridge and temple measurements, all in millimeters. Mezzmer always includes the measurements of every frame in the product description. As in clothing or shoes, there is no exact fit, but here are some guidelines:

  1. 1 Lens diameter should be within 2 mm of your favorite frames.
  2. 2 Bridge measurements should be within 1 mm of your current size. Frames with nose pads can be an exception: they can be within 2mm.
  3. 3 Temple measurements should be within 3 mm or less of your best fitting frames.
  4. 4 All of our frames list the measurements as well as the general sizes Narrow, Medium and Wide (see chart below).

Note: We recommend that your provide a Pupillary Distance(PD). If you don’t give us your PD, we’ll use the accepted industry average PD of 63mm for men and 61mm for women.

Shape of things

The right frames highlight your best features and make you feel more confident. Take a gander at a few guidelines to win the face race:

Oval faces are versatile and almost any frame shape looks good on them. Round and oval faces look best in square, rectangular or geometric frames. Keep frames in proportion to your features – not too large, and not too small.

Round faces need angular frames to offset the puffy softness. Rectangular and horizontal frames can lengthen your face, but round frames will reinforce your facial rotundity.

Heart-shaped faces adore butterfly, cat-eye and round shapes. Low-set temples provide a balance to the widening top head, but avoid frames with top-heavy accents.

Square faces need shapes that contrast and offset. Oval and round frames elongate and highlight your strong features, and frames with wire rims or no rims will serve to soften your hard edges.
